ECUMaster EMU Black Standalone ECU
The EMU Black is the successor to the popular EMU (now called Classic) engine control computer from ECUmaster. Just like it's older sibling it packs a lot of features into a budget friendly package. This standalone ECU is ready to control a wide range of engines, from 1 cylinder up to 12! (or 1 to 3 Rotors)
It has all the features of the Classic and adds Drive-By-Wire, more inputs, 8 cylinder sequential injection, dual Variable cam control, CAN Bus communication and many more software features.
With an onboard controller for Bosch 4.2 and 4.9 LSU wideband O2 sensors, built-in MAP 4 bar sensor, built-in EGT inputs, knock sensor inputs, flexible input and output configuration, Flex fuel control, ability to run passive and active ignition coils, this ECU has great bang for buck.
Supports motorsport features such as Launch control, 2 step, Nitrous, Traction control and more. With a wideband O2 sensor connected it supports Short Term Fuel Trims and 'Autotune' software features.
It comes with connectors and terminals for wiring it into a vehicle or building your own wiring harness as well as a USB cable.
It uses a USB-C for communications with a windows computer, it’s also rated to IP60 standards for water and dust ingress and it also has a coated board to ensure it'll last even in tough environments. We've installed these on street cars, a dedicated race car or boat and it's comfortable in all environments. It also has reverse polarity protection on power connections, works from 6-22V, and inputs and outputs are protected giving you the confidence that even if you make a mistake doing your own wiring that you'll be ok.
Currently this has two firmware options, V2 and V3. V3 is very near ready to publish, but its available for users to download and play with while they're still optimizing it. We highly recommend downloading either (or both) software to help you determine if this ECU is right for your build.
