Tony Angelo's LS Swapped 911

Expensive Porsche Power Steering? Not Tony's style. The PSC was used to power the factory Porsche rack combined the Dodge Pump.

Getting this Porsche 992 back to daily driving standard.

We reached out to Tony and Michael after watching the Porsche series, knowing that cramming an LS in the back of these can create accessory drive space issues. It just so happens that Porsche ran an electric hydraulic pump from factory, but the costs of these systems climbs very quick.

We consulted with Tony and Michael, and gave them a recipe that included the Dodge pump paired with the Hang Tight PSC. The installation was featured in Episode 4 of the build.

Installation was simple.

Fortunately, the Porsche 996 used an electric over hydraulic power steering system factory, making the installation fairly seamless. The Stay Tuned team elected to go with potentiometer control, allowing for changes to be made on the fly. The Dodge integrated reservoir pump was chosen, allowing a ton of headroom in the assist level. The team used the Hang Tight PSC Flying Lead kit, making the installation quick and predictable, while utilizing the factory mounting points from the Porsche EPAS pump. Stone whipped up an adapter bracket, lines were made and installed and a cooler mounted behind the bumper. Keeping all the parts in the front trunk of the car made the runs short, as well as keeping weight towards the front. With the system, they're able to emulate how Porsche designed the system for a fraction of the cost.
